There are graduation sessions, and then there are these kind of graduation sessions. When he reached out about capturing his milestone, it wasn't just a diploma walk; it was a commissioning into the United States Army.


That kind of moment deserves more than a cap and gown snapshot.

Pacific Lutheran University's campus in Tacoma is genuinely one of the most underrated spots for portrait photography in the Pacific Northwest.


The brick buildings, tree-lined walkways, and open green spaces create this effortlessly classic look that pairs so well with formal wear; and honestly, with a full Army uniform? It was a perfect match.


The soft Pacific Northwest light filtered through the trees kept everything looking clean and natural without feeling overly posed.
