Commissioned & Ready; A PLU Military Graduation Session
There are graduation sessions, and then there are these kind of graduation sessions. When he reached out about capturing his milestone, it wasn't just a diploma walk; it was a commissioning into the United States Army.
That kind of moment deserves more than a cap and gown snapshot.
It deserves portraits that actually feel like the weight of what was accomplished.
Pacific Lutheran University's campus in Tacoma is genuinely one of the most underrated spots for portrait photography in the Pacific Northwest.
The brick buildings, tree-lined walkways, and open green spaces create this effortlessly classic look that pairs so well with formal wear; and honestly, with a full Army uniform? It was a perfect match.
The soft Pacific Northwest light filtered through the trees kept everything looking clean and natural without feeling overly posed.
Whether you're graduating from PLU, UW, UWT, Seattle U, WSU, or your local high school, if you want portraits that actually feel like you, I'd love to work with you.
I serve grads all across the greater Seattle and Tacoma area, and graduation season is one of my favorite times of year to shoot.
